...POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLOODING THIS WEEKEND...
Light to moderate rain will move across southern Wisconsin on
Friday followed by heavier rainfall for Friday night and Saturday
morning. 1 to 2 inches of rainfall is currently forecast along and
south of a line from Mineral Point to Madison to Port Washington.
However, repeated rounds of thunderstorms Friday night into
Saturday morning may produce narrow bands of several inches of
rain. Thus, flash flooding and river flooding will be possible. A
Flash Flood Watch may eventually be issued. Sunday is expected to
be dry but river flooding could continue to worsen if heavy
rainfall does occur.
